The odds of needing a firearm or a spare mag are much less than someone needing medical attention. Yet many of us neglect medical training and carrying medical gear. Many of us are more than willing to carry medical gear, but actually carrying it in a comfortable and concealable way is hindering us. Thankfully there are some really smart companies who have ideas and then follow through on creating a method to carry medical.
There are other pocket magazine holders on the market but one of the biggest concerns I have with them is how easy they can come out of the pocket. Having a device stuck to your magazine will make it difficult if not impossible to get the magazine in your gun. So we very purposely bend our titanium pocket clips so they are very strong. The NeoMag staying put in your pocket is really important and the strong clip is your friend.
The Pirate tray features something we have never done before, and if I knew how much work it would take to get it right, I’m not sure if I would have done it.
Today we honor the fallen, to all the Military Service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and to fight for our freedoms. I am opening up this blog today to all of you who know someone who made that sacrifice. Let’s make this day about the fallen and place their name below in the comments and any other information you would like to share about them.
Temperatures are starting to finally level out here in Ohio. And by “level out” I mean the temperature swings are staying between 60˚ to 90˚ instead of 10˚ to 40˚ like this past winter. With the warmer temperatures here my clothing changes from jeans, shirt and a long sleeve shirt with a coat; to shorts and a t-shirt. With my clothing changing my carry tends to change. Concealing things becomes harder, real estate on my body is at a premium, and lastly I’m really hot and just don’t want a bunch of kit on me. Keep reading to see what I change, I’ll offer a few things to consider and then I would love to hear from you!
Over the years the NeoMag would go through a number of updates. Nearly all of them were because of customer feedback and it’s been amazing to see the NeoMag evolve over the last 7 years.
When you think bad debt, you might think of credit cards, car payments, student loans, etc. These are all examples of bad debt, yes, but they can also be examples of good debt.
I had no idea that posting the NeoMag to a Facebook group would begin to turn the NeoMag into what it is today. I sold the first 100 units quicker than I thought it would take. I seriously contemplated taking the money I made, spending it on camera gear or ammo and calling it quits. Building 100 units and packaging took a few weekends. Keeping track of buyers money, addresses and getting them shipped out was tedious. I didn’t plan on hundreds. I thought it would be dozens. However I took the chance and ordered 200, then sold and shipped those and that paid for 400, 400 paid for 800 and so on.
We often try to be prepared for many things. It is in the nature of a protector. It’s why we carry a concealed firearm. It’s why we EDC medical, go to shooting classes, why we watch instructors online. We lock our doors at night to prepare for robbers. Most of us have a spare tire and jack to prepare for a flat. These are all great emergency events to be aware of and to make preparations for. Here is the problem. Most of us forget to prepare for the most common problems we will encounter, financial emergencies.
This is the first part of 3 where I take you from the first idea of the NeoMag through the journey to where the product is today. I hope you enjoy hearing all that has gone into this little device that has revolutionized how thousands of people carry, all because I wanted something better.
The latest episode of Drill Day is up on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. This week I take to the range to do the X Drill. A simple drill meant to work from behind cover and shoot from different positions. Of course I can’t keep it simple. …
For almost 3 years now I have received nearly the same comments from people about why they don’t need to carry anymore than the ammunition in their gun. I would like to just take a moment to give a reply and simply ask to consider some of my th…
Today I am publishing the fourth new episode of a show I call Drill Day. The purpose of Drill Day is two fold. First, I love to train. Who doesn’t really? I enjoy taking drills I have done with instructors in classes I have taken or even doi…
