GunCon 2026: A Eventful Day with NeoMag

Trade shows are always interesting, but GunCon has a way of feeling different.

Before the event even kicked off, NeoMag had the opportunity to host a clay shoot for GunCon staff, vendors, and friends of the event. Organized as a chance to spend time together before the crowds arrived, it was a great opportunity for fellowship, friendly competition, and catching up with familiar faces. Huge thanks to Jon Patton and the GunCon team for helping create an event that brings so many great people together each year.

This year’s event was held at the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles, Ohio, and from the moment the doors opened, the traffic never seemed to stop. Representing NeoMag alongside Nate Hills, I spent the day behind the booth talking with customers, media members, content creators, and countless everyday armed citizens who stopped by to see what we had on display.

One of my favorite parts of attending events like GunCon is seeing how people actually carry. When an event is open to the public, you get a much broader cross-section of the concealed carry community than you might at an industry-only gathering. Everyone has a different setup, different needs, and different reasons for carrying. Some visitors were discovering NeoMag products for the first time, while others stopped by specifically to tell us how long they’ve been using them.

Those conversations are valuable.

As a company, we spend a lot of time designing products that solve real-world problems. There’s no better place to learn whether we’re accomplishing that goal than face-to-face conversations with the people who use our gear every day. Throughout the event, we heard stories from law enforcement officers, competitive shooters, everyday concealed carriers, and long-time NeoMag customers. Each conversation offered a different perspective on organization, carry habits, and what people are looking for in their everyday equipment.

The booth stayed busy enough that I never had the opportunity to walk the show floor myself. Normally, I’d like to see what everyone else brought to the event, but this year that wasn’t in the cards. Instead, the steady flow of visitors kept us occupied demonstrating products, answering questions, and introducing people to some of the newer additions to the NeoMag lineup.

By the end of the day, we had completely sold out of our Gen 2 NeoMags, R.I.G.s Light Bars, several Sentry Straps, and a number of other products we brought to the show. The Alias Hook & Loop and Alias Beltless Receiver were also incredibly popular, especially among attendees looking for flexible off-body carry options. In fact, a large portion of the products we brought for sale found new homes throughout the event. More importantly, we had the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, shake hands with friends, and meet new customers who may have only known us through social media or word of mouth before seeing the products in person.

Events like GunCon are a reminder that the concealed carry community is built on relationships. Products matter, but conversations matter too. Whether someone stopped by to purchase their first NeoMag or simply share their experience using one they’ve carried for years, every interaction contributed to what made the event memorable.

From my perspective as a vendor, GunCon 2026 was an absolute blast. It was busy, productive, and filled with great conversations from start to finish.

To everyone who stopped by the NeoMag booth, thank you. We appreciate the support, the feedback, and the opportunity to be part of such a great event.

We will see you at the next GunCon event in 2027!
